1800 United States Census Questions

Answers to the 1800 US census questions were to be based on the status of households on Monday, August 4, 1800.

none number of free white males 45 and older
none number of free white females under 10
none number of free white females 10 through 15 years

none number of free white females 45 and older
none number of all other free persons
none number of slaves

The 1800 US federal schedules for Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, and Vermont have survived.

Lost schedules include those for Georgia, Indiana Territory, Kentucky, Mississippi Territory, New Jersey, Northwest Territory, Virginia, Tennessee, and Alexandria County, District of Columbia. Some of these have been re-created using tax lists and other records still available.
